Our fourth Session was going to land on another Bank Holiday and for some raeson i kept getting this nagging feeling, "would it at least measure up to our last Bank Holiday Session". I guess even the most confident of us get that feeling from time to time :3. The Fourth Session would see us give home for the first time (and not the last by any means) to "The Stellifi Soundsystem"( Paul Smith ) and "EndaHouse"-Just Groove (Enda Geoghegan). Enda was first up and took tO "DOIN THE DO". Enda just loves his deep-house (the deeper the better according to himself...hsha hsha) and it wasnt going to be any different this time out either. A couple of tracks in and he drops this baby ("Basti Pieper feat Eddy Pirax - I Love You")
Having heard this and the hairs stand on my neck and i just knew this was going to be a good night, it just had to be :). Little by little Enda wove his magic as only he knows how, deep, delectable, dishy and deeper again. With Pawlie(Paul) just itching to get in...Enda knew he would eventually have to give up the Throne...such is the life of a ginger Enda(hsha hsha). Pawlie takes the throne and "he likey" and it was not long before he took the Basement Bar by the scruff and gave it a good shake. Uping the heat as the room began to fill, pawlie was just letting them know how this story was going to go and just who the narrator was.Enda on for a few mixes, Pawlie on for a few, a ritual at the sessions at this stage no surprise's except for the different styles each dj brings to Docks.
Now hitting the 12.30 mark and the Basement pretty much packed, Pawlie takes to the ones and twos for the final lap. Now!!! i must point out however that pawlie
has been perfecting his "live experience" as "The Stellifi SoundSystem" and had not been on the decks for some time. That been said you would never even know to be honest. As each vinyl rotated, it was like the thermostat turned with it....Pawlie came with a style that harped back to good old days of those CHI TOWN jackin tracks, but with a newer twist/feel to it. Good old, straight up, no messing party house and ...oooh ...it was sooo ON. With the passing of each piece of vinyl
the vibe jacked every bit more and even to the those new to chicago house or the sessions it would have found it very hard to not dance. Even speaking for as the myself as the redbull wore off i just couldnt stop...WOOT WOOT. Well done Mr Smith the crowd loved it, people every where dancing with smiles on their faces...what more could you ask for. A Brilliant preformance by Paul and not to forget Enda too...well done lads and thanks a mill....
Catch Enda and Cailin Power Monday nights @ 20:00 - 22:00 IN Their "Deeep" show.( see radio page for details ) Catch Pawlie as the Stellifi Sounsystem on Monday nights also @ 22:00 - 00:00 Thanks to all of you who came down to party and without you, none of this could be a success and we hope you will continue to join us and help it to continue to be the the great Session it has been. Love and Peace from all @ Mac-Trax.

And so we see the Third instalement of the Mac-Trax-Sessions. Saturday nights are always going to be a "slow burner"
affair and this was no different. Taking to the podium first, we had Christy O Brien. Christy didnt waste any time laying down
the law and got straight into it, even taking into account there wasnt that many present. It was almost like, Christy said to
himself, "there's not that many here, so i'll draw them here with some crucial tuneage." You know what??? It damn well worked.
With each passing minute, like mice following the Pied Piper(tounge in cheek here) they began to arrive and fill the void.
With a strong female contingent present, Christy instinctively knew the job at hand and applied his skill accordingly,
(Christy leaned over to me at one stage to say, "the ladies love a bit of cheese") but to be fair to you man...you played it
like a pro and i wouldnt have dare say you played into cheese...but more you held your integrity and gave the ladies a litle
of what they love and they in turn showed their appreciation, with a collective "woot woot",feet moving and bodies groovin.
Christy, with each passing moment like a man on a mission gave it more and more and got it to where it should always be,
"PUMPIN" AND "ROCKIN"...Hats off to you Christy, fair play.
The road cleared, the job left to do was going to be a an easy task. Stand up to the "one's and two's", "Phoniiq" (aka Bazz Lambert). Bazz was to bring to "DOCKS" his take on tribal, that he has been perfecting for some time now. Like the proverbial fish to water he dove in and began to craft his his magic. To an already stopmin room, Bazz brought up the tempo in ever increasing increments, just now and again giving glimpse's of what he was really going to let loose. The crowd now, for some unknow raeson began to get as close to the dj area as possible, as if trying to get inside the vibe and be with the dj. Now into the last hour, temperature's rising, feet stompin, ladies and gents hollering and all the while our Bazz giving it socks and he himself never looking like he was going to break a sweat..... Surely the pressure was going to pop and it did. Bazz had drove the vibe into a "dancefloor infested frenzie" ( Mac take's a bow for that new phrase..lol) and it went into overload (Well done Mister lambert). We the party now at full swing we were allowed to play on, that little extra, "Thanks DOCKS!!" :)).2.30AM and the night was called to a halt and a great night it was. Thanks to all joined us at the Session and a special thanks to Bazz and Christy....WELL DONE LADS !!!! :))

The 2nd Mac-Trax-Sessions was always going to be that bit more relaxed, now with the first night nerves over and done with.
Usually it goes, that your first night will always go pretty good,(if you've done your job right that is)the second outting
will generally be a anti-climax.But nothing was further from the truth in this case.Up first on the night we had LUVDEEP,
(aka David Bennett)David from New Ross, has been involved in the Dj arena for some time now and a Resident on our radio,
would be best described as definitive deep-house DJ and will time and time again, feed your soul with his delectable deep
sets.Within 15 minutes of him starting the place began to fill and we were so thrilled that our second Session would be as
good as the first and so it went.David meticulously constructed his set piece by piece, just leaving it for at tipping point
for the next in, to give it that final push. The man in question .....The Choice Selection (aka Eddie Galavan) up for a second
time in the Sessions, would have no problem in pushing it over the edge.We already know Eddie from the first Session so no need
for introductions.Eddie jumped on a little after 11pm to a now almost filled room and began to craft his set with precision
as he so often does. Testing the crowd as he went, while keeping a close eye to their wants and needs, it wasnt long before
he cracked it.Instead of pandering to them.....he lay it down and showed the crowd what they needed and not what they thought
they wanted. They responded with the due appreciation and began to "rock".As with the first Session at around 12ish David jumped
on again, with the place now totally full and jammin. The guys went "one on one" with each doin a few mixes and the other sitting
back. I had an incling that this "one in one out" business was steadily becoming a regular happening at the Sessions.I wasnt
complaining and neither was the crowd....they wanted to be entertained and they were getting it in abundance. It wasnt long before
2am rolled around and the lights came up....but i must say with due fairness it was a good night and both David and Eddie done
done the job with passion and gusto. Soooo looking forward to the 29th now :))

With some surpressed anticipation we awaited the Sessions kick off night.Having waited for so long to have a night we could call our own and have it locally too was just a great feeling(THANKS TO ALL AT DOCKS) and im sure im not alone in saying that, the local House/Techno Heads would also agree.
On the night we had 60Hertz(Wayne Duggan),Tapes n Tapes(Conor Erett) and The Choice Selection(Eddie Galavan) and all Mac-Trax-Radio Residents.
60Hertz or "dugy" as we so fondly call him, is well aquainted with the scene and has released his BoxRoom/B-Sides ep with us.A deep-house Dj by nature is a highly versatile one at that too and great guy to boot. Dugy jumped on first and got doin what he does best, laying a path so as
to make an easy for those following him."BUT"!!! Lets take nothing from this Waterford based dynamo he will rock you sure as he will sooth you
,including myself sent home with a smile on their face.
